I want farmers to thrive.

With more than 8,000 farms in the Puget Sound region, PSagrarian shares the stories, news and information farmers will use to take steps toward success. PSagrarian will also celebrate the rural character of the Puget Sound region.

Farms are a vital part of the Puget Sound’s food system. Farmers and ranchers tirelessly grow fruits and vegetables and raise animals that are available at local stores, farmers markets, farm stands, restaurants, and food banks. Many of these farms are less than 20 acres in size. Agriculture in the Puget Sound region takes many shapes and sizes ranging from family generation farms hundreds of acres in size to others using a lot in an urban environment. Overall, agriculture contributes more than $1 billion to the Washington state economy.

As for me, I have more than 20 years of experience writing for publications in the Puget Sound. I value accuracy, nuance, service, and building trust. I also worked for years at an organic farm selling organic fruits and vegetables, set up a retail space and worked in the fields. I’m laid back yet move fast.
