Could religious facilities be built on farmland? Snohomish County considers the question

Snohomish County officials spent the summer discussing whether religious facilities could be allowed in agriculture areas of the county. 

Snohomish County council member Sam Low said there is no proposal to change the code. He explained in an email that several people over the years reached out saying there were inconsistencies in County code when it came to what is allowed on agriculture land and what is not allowed, including religious facilities. 

Snohomish County’s Planning Commission in June and the county’s Agriculture Advisory Board talked about the topic in July.
