It’s Fair time throughout Western Washington

Take a day off as the summer winds to a close. A summer tradition is back as county fairs are popping up in coming weeks throughout Western Washington.

Taking place in every county in Western Washington, county fairs are chock-full of family entertainment – fair rides, concerts, car races, parades, and delicious junk food.

Skagit County Farm to Pint FEST celebrates brewing culture

Celebrate local craft beer, growers and producers Saturday, Sept. 26 at the La Conner Marina at the Skagit County Farm to Pint FEST. Breweries in Skagit County will bring two beer styles that will be paired with bites prepared from a local Skagit Valley restaurant. A Home Brewing contest will take place and Live music, Band of Eden, will perform.

The Skagit Valley’s fertile soil provides a great environment for growing hops, barley and other beer-brewing ingredients as well as producing farm-to-table plates. The one-day event is presented by the Port of Skagit and benefits Genuine Skagit Valley.

For more information, check out the Farm to Pint Fest website here.
